SCAN 17 - LEICA IIIF / COLOR SKOPAR 35MM / BULK - FOMA 100

This is the second roll of the bulk fomapan 100. Let me tell it's story. I had started going to a darkroom atelier at a place called Ka Atelier in Ankara. I already knew how to develop my film but that place had an enlarger on it's darkroom and I wanted to be able to use it so I started for its atelier. The schedule was set by my teacher and we needed to develop film on the first weeks. I always wanted to buy bulk film because it's cheaper so I would be able to shoot more. And because I had a project on my head (Operation Liberty / Tam Bağımsızlık, more on later) I bulk loaded couple of rolls and shoot 1 roll of pictures dor the Atelier night (Tuesday). On the Tuesday I already finished the first roll so I put one more roll (this roll, continue reading). When we developed the first roll it all came blacked out. I was so sad and I didnt knew what I did wrong. It must (and was) be a user mistake because my teacher was with me at the whole developing process and we both knew that the process went normal. We couldn't check the film if we developed it normally with looking at the negative sheet writings because bulk film does not have that (You can check that your pictures are bad or not by checking the sheet writings, if they look good then your pictures are bad because of you metered them badly while shooting, so that means that they are indeed user mistake not the chemicals fault.) I was so dissapointed that I said to my teacher that I will shoot all of the roll I have with my camera at the time (this roll). So I took the camera from my backpack while my teacher is having a cigarette break and went to the main entrance of the building which is a exhibit hall. I shoot the exhibit and around. We developed it and noticed that I burned the film while loading it. But the inner frame parts were totally ok (which is a really good thing so I could have use my bulk film.) they are not completely ruined. They have a white line on the both side of the bracket hole's outer parts. When I print them with the outer part of the film the white stripes are there but that's practically not a problem because frames have no fog nor anything. I can't say that it's not a bummer because I really like to look at really clean negatives but it's simply do not affect anything like I told you. From this day on I started to bulk load more carefully (and this was my first time ever using the bulk loader...) Bulk Loader I bought was not new and it's really wobbly So I will going to buy another bulk loader when I can from europe. My eyes are on some Kaiser Bulk loaders!!! They have very good reputation. From this roll on you will going to see Fomapan 100 bulk film. This and the Fomapan 400 was the only film I could have found at the time and I bought the 100 because of finer grain. Current update on this issue (on the date of 12.12.2021) I have found a very good dealer located on Istanbul which I will keep it to myself :). That sells any bulk film that I would like such as Kodak bw and color bulk film. I talked with its owner and when I have mentioned that I would like to shoot some 16mm short for my graduation project (I study filmmaking.) He told me that he could provide me 16mm motion picture film too! So I can say that I am very lucky that I found a good dealer to work with. (For the ones who live in Europe and Usa; Stock is a really big problem here in Turkey, because there is no demand, there is so small amount of supply and you have to know/learn how to find things from here and there which happens mostly by chance.)
