Byodo-in, Uji-City Kyoto (平等院、京都府宇治市)

Byodo-in is one of the most famous budhist temple in Japan. Originally built in 998, Heian Period.

This temple is famous for its main hall, Phoenix-hall (ho-oh-do in Japanese). You can see this Phoenix-hall in some photos.
