i thought i awoke in south london town.

eyes opened at dark of night blackness all around.
shuffling in coal colour gloom towards light switch.
clunk,clunk nothing click,click dead.
shuffled to bedside table light a candle.
put slippers on and scrooge night shawl and cap.shuffle through the golden flickering hall upstairs on way stub foot candle falls blackness rises.
casper hauser like i crawl upwards towards the daylight.
open the door step out into blister bright colours and realize i am still in the dream.
