Nishikigoi

Although I may not have realised it at the time, this is as much a photograph of the water flowing around the Buddhist temples at Asakusa, Tokyo as it is of the majestic fish that swim through it. It serves as a reminder of the water, incense and people flowing through the shrines on that day. Unlike the fish I tried to fight the currents of people at first, before eventually allowing the ebb and flow to guide me through the crowds to the peaceful spot I snapped these beauties. Without wanting to sound corny, I think the fish had the right idea!
