This is now a National Historic Site with a coal mining museum, one of the last standing wooden tipples and mine tours.

    Man i rember comming hear in cubs.. for some reason or another the owner at the time ran into us and gave us the keys to get in (or from what i rember) so we took a path all the way along side of the mine to the top, where one of our group members with a particularly overactive imagination said he saw a rifle barrel poke out of a windo then disapear.. To where and witch half of the kids ran back down the path. The supply boxes at the bottem that we thought were "coffins" dident help that claim of a gun whileding mad man in the mine.
    God. The shit i rember haha.
