I have come to Lomography group as over the last year I have been re-evaluating C21 photography in general and my own practice in particular. The surprising result of this re-evaluation is that to me the snapshot is the acme of photographic practice.
I considered the main branches of photography. Photo-realism and the indexicality of the photo-document to photographic figuration, meaning the staged or fictive image. What draws me to the snapshot is its engagement and immediacy.
But I have joined mainly because this group is more about the fun of photography than arguing 'isms.
