Recently, Soroush Niromand do the photography stuff for Magazine Race Reports. I met soroush about a year ago with Amirhossein Karimi in University. I did not like Soroush in first and label it as arrogant person. but later on i found him as a good friend with good hobbies and intersting thoughts. when I quit from KhodroEmrooz Weekly, Amirhossein brought with him in nasle bartar as photographer. Soroush has a Nikon D7100 with a 18-200 VR lens. amirhossein, Soroush and I changed our major recently but amirhossein changed the university branch as well. so soroush and I, kind of seeing each other frequent
this shot is from my first film (like almost always fuji C200). Nima Mojtahedzade took this shot in Exit Cafe in Tehran. although nima is a experienced analog photographer but the lens didn't record a sharp picture. However the photo is one of the best picture of myself and transfers very good feeling.
the first days after I got my minolta was very exciting. I was in clouds by my new hobby and frequently playing with camera exactly like a child! I had Karting as a hobby beforehand and honestly it was the karting that got me in Journalism and Producing Content in Motorsport and Automotive but because of karting's costs which I couldn't handle it goes in another part of my memory.Then I was hobby-less (!) and my life became one-dimensional status. the minolta makes me alive again! I get branded new approach which make me new friends and more independed. its look like to some people say hey man you have problems than just a camera gives you this feel but you don't understand me until you really have nothing interesting in your life as a 21 year old boy but a good career which is on the wane because of my decisions to rejecting oppression. with all this you can't make prophecy or just depressed by some hard years. so now I'm happy with analog and use diligence as a useful tool to long off this happiness.
We went to report another motorsport race in Azadi Speed Circuit in west side of Tehran. Soroush Niromand who is my photographer took this photo of me and Amirhossein Karimi. amirhossein is my firend and also ex-classmate. I have a very special feeling about this picture because Niromand did not worked with analog cameras before and with this story make the shot very nostalgic look.
This shot was the first one with SRT-101. erfan and I were outside of amirhossein camera equipment shop and he gave us a Fuji C200 for free which is kind of test film for checking and warranty cameras. this shot has a film strip figure that I don't know when and how it appears on film.
Andishe is now 14! he's my only brother and I love him dearly. I can't forget the days before him. apart from the age gap between us, back there I was really lonely and want a brother. when he was born I became enormously happy and love him maybe more than my parents. but as we grow older we fight more. this case get such awkward that we some kind of hate each other. later and when I going to work frequently this problems solved. I think this its because of me that get more aware how to manage a child and manage my self. now Andishe and I like and respect each other. I hope for him to be great person in future.
as I said Nima is a Journalist that work in Khodroemrooz weekly. he was my colleague back in the time that I work in Khodroemrooz too. also he is an old friend of my cousin Pedram (who is living in LA now). Nima is strange man that you don't see everyday! some people don't understand him and label him as proud guy but he is very comrade buddy. nima's field of work is classic cars especially he has a talent to say about the cars which have a story to tell.
as I said before one of the major part of my job is reporting the Motorsport events in Iran especially the races take place in Azadi speed circuit. from the beginning in about 4 years ago to now I always put a great effort and dedication to this job and tried to make Comprehensive stories but recently I'm little disappointed. because I was trying to make a real change in quality of races even small ones but I failed and found out is the time to pass and move on to new levels. this shot took in the last race we went. at the end the principles of federation Commended me and some of my colleague with little prize giving. so this Imprecise double exposure was meant to be a goodbye-frame by showing me and two drivers passing out a apex. I took the first shot and our photographer "Soroush Nirumand" took the second one.
I took this shot in university's dining room but little while before put ASA/ISO of camera on 3200 to just to how ilford delta 3200 speed effect on receiving light but forgot to change it back to fuji superia asa :)
I think its near 15 years we live in this town. I always moan about the neighbors and other people we live by, but as the time go on and life get more hard and difficult Im more appreciate the place and happy life we lived and kinda live now :) we all losing. whining and complaining about things which we missed in future. is it from our idiocy or life is always hard but we forget most annoying things and just remember good stuff?
another night shot or what I call: Red Shots. I took it in the night of Pasdaran st in Tehran, Iran. in 1/8 Sec Exposure time or least of what Canon Af35M II or SureShot2 or Autoboy2 can do with it's F2.8 38mm Lens!
