It was my friend eric lee final days in singapore and with that i loaded my 2 favorite film in my lca+ and snap away. His gone now but looking at the pictures i can easily remember the moments with him.

These photos were completed as part of Mephisto19's birthday project for his 30th birthday. Light painting was conducted in Canada, and the doubles/overlapping photos were completed in the Netherlands. Thanks to the infamous Mephisto19 for including me in the project.
I find 2 ways to separate myself from others. The second one is simple but I cannot do it everytime I want to be alone. Go to the far end of the world, find a big dune to climb and watch the world from there. This is Namibia which is one of the most isolated places in the world. Nice place to get lost.

...Ainsi pensait Aigul en se promenant au bord du fleuve Néva quand je l’ai photographiée. Mais les pigeons ne prêtaient aucune attention à cette fille, ils s’occupaient de leurs affaires. Il y a des jours où elle envie aux beaux oiseaux leur liberté... Et l’idée lui vient très souvent de prendre son élan, de lever les bras et de s’envoler...
L’humanité a toujours essayé d’inventer des objets volants et enfin elle a réussi. Même les grands mythes grecs en parlent: «Le vol d’Icare» etc... Cependant, l’avion ne donne pas les mêmes sensations que le vol des oiseaux.
Et on aimerait beaucoup planer au-dessus de la terre, voler où l’on veut, traverser les océans et découvrir le monde entier. Mais je comprends bien que c’est irréel, que jamais l’homme ne pourra voler comme l’oiseau. Mais la vie est tout de même magnifique et avec cette idée nous nous sommes rendues ensemble, rêveuses et légères, dans le centre historique de St. Petersbourg pour l’admirer...
During my sister's family visit to the house, I asked my niece Ayana whose real name is Katrina Ayana to pose for my camera. Not the usual portraits I took of her in the past. Well, I just took pictures of her feet sporting that cute pink nail polish some of which have already faded in color. Asked her to wear different sets of footwear found around the house - even if size bigger than hers. She was happy to oblige as the other members of the family looked in amazement at such crazy idea. Doubled my shots with the image of a sexy star in Philippine showbiz who happens to have the same name (or screen name), Katrina. I love how these two sets of disconnected images fused together. Talk about sexy feet! LOL

This is the inspiration behind La Sardina, the Lark 127 camera made by Irwin Corp in New York, late 1940's. These all metal half frame cameras are so cool looking, I'm very glad LSI decided to do an homage to them. They are very hard to find and even harder to find in working order as the metal tended to rust badly. This Lark isn't working yet and I will have to perform some surgery on it but cosmetically it's in decent condition and so well worth the restoration effort.
We went to a wedding of friends, Jenny and Marcel, and had a great party! The party took place in a reconstructed barn of an old farm with some authentic 'devices'. I took my Lubitel with me and just shot away as the evening went on.
Two-faced - that is the best description for our Photo of the Day. Two faces of one yet probably expressing something particular. It sure is interesting and captured in lovely analogue! (POTD 01.16.12)
