St. Anna's Church

St. Anna's Church I visited my parent's home in June as my dad's health decreased dramatically recently. During that time, I visited many locations related to my childhood with my son and told him some great stories about them. The St. Anna's church, built in the neo-Gothic style, stands next to the Redl estate. It is considered a smaller version of the Matthias Church in Budavar. Although the Béla tower is missing, the main tower is not octagonal either, only with a square cross-section; there are fewer side shrines, and the lacework is more modest, but the similarity in its lines is legitimate. The chapel was completed in 1905. According to a local legend, a gypsy woman predicted to the baron that as soon as the church was completed, the baron would die. Some explain why construction dragged on from 1893. According to the small town legend, the baron collapsed dead when the church was completed in 1905, and the tower cross was put up. The story is not that serious in reality, as only the year of death is accurate. And speaking of local stories, the portico parapet is said to have been made from the sides of Italian carved chests.
