Carnival in the Rhinland (9)

It is said, that there is a fifth season in the Rhineland - Carnival. That season always starts on the 11th of November (at 11:11 ...) and lasts until Ash Wednesday the following year. The pinnacle is always the grand parade on "Rosenmontag" (Rose Monday ... there really is no good translation for this ...) - every little town has their own parade and the whole populace of this region is either marching in it, or watching it as spectators. Here are some pictures from this year's parade in Bendorf.
