Waiting while it dries...

This is the hardest part of film photography for me. I have to wait and wait for the film to dry. I have been working on a design for a dryer, but I haven't had time to work on it yet. He says after shooting and waiting for 2+ years.

I love having the ability to develop everything myself at home. It's cheaper and gives me total control. But the drying time, well it's a bword for sure. Especially when the heater is not running in the house. I think this winter I will design and build my dryer.

lol @srcardoso - It's fast right until the air drying stage. I can shoot a roll and have it hung up to dry in less then an hour. But the film takes anywhere from 1-6 hours to dry depending on the temperature and humidity and the kind of film. When I first started developing at home, I made the mistake of trying to scan film too soon. It felt dry but when I touched it, my finger prints were embedded in the emulsion. Lesson learned. :D
