Baalbek

Temple to Jupiter in Roman times, Called Heliopolis in Hellenic Era. Baal was the Phoenecian deity. Nearby limestone quarry provided the building materials; an abandoned stone block weighing one thousand six hundred and fifty tons lies there, dubbed the largest stone block from antiquity.
