   Is that a member of the crow family? Maybe a magpie?

   @neufotomacher Yes, I think that is a crow. Maybe a "Hooded Crow". These are very common in Istanbul, in fact I don't see any fully-black crow at all. Magpie on the other hand is very different, they have longer tails.
