@sudhashunmu The SX70 has been such a wonderfully satisfying camera to work with, Sudha. If you love instant you should definitely budget it in your purchases for next year. And the impossible film- difficult to work with, especially getting the exposure and tone right, but such joy when you see the photo turn out just the way you visualised! It's beautiful!

@sudhashunmu The impossible films are pretty good. I've used the B&W PX680 Silver Shade and the colour PX70 Colour Protection.

The PX680 is an ISO600 film and the SX70 only works on ISO100 film, but you can use it with a neutral density (ND) filter. You will also have to underexpose the picture by 1-1.5 stops to get best results. Yes, this film is VERY sensitive to light and you will have to instantly shield it as it pops out of the camera. This film is also very sensitive to moisture and humidity levels (big problem in Chennai, I know) and it starts to turn orange over time and displays some crystalline degradation. I like the effect but it may not be everyone's cup of tea. Best to keep it in a box with some calcium silicate sachets (what you get with thermos flasks & electronic equipment to keep it dry).

The PX70 is an ISO100 film so you can use it directly in the SX70. I've found that you still need to underexpose the shot by 1-2 stops for best colour saturation or the picture turns out too 'yellow'. But the colour protection (CP) version of this film is very stable so you do not need to shield it when it comes out of the camera. The results have completely amazed me!

Overall, an expensive but also VERY satisfying proposition! :-) Enjoy!
