Hello, I am from Poix du Nord in France, this village has a link with this city, in 1922 the village inaugurated the Keighley-hall, an English-style building which today serves as a village hall. The building was notably financed by a subscription in England with the town of Keighley (Yorkshire). At the time, the construction was entrusted to a British, Arthur Studgen.

Bonjour je suis originaire de Poix du Nord en France , ce village à un lien avec cette ville, en1922 le village fait l'Inauguration du Keighley-hall, bâtiment de style anglais qui sert aujourd'hui de salle des fêtes. Keighley Hall

Keighley Hall is a testament to the war, but a testament to the friendship that can
born between countries when people suffer together the assaults of the enemy and
the bombardments which lasted in our village until the day before the signing of
    the armistice of November 11.
The English troops entrenched in the village suffered losses such as the
civilian population, the English cemetery attests to the number of victims.
During this period, the English soldiers stationed in the town were able to take advantage of
the aid provided by the population and attest to the violence of these bombings and the
    difficulties of the people.
These events were recounted by English soldiers, some of whom were from
keighley or its region. Numerous articles in Keighley's newspapers
recounted this terrible end to the war and the good will of the English soldiers to want
alleviate the miseries of the inhabitants of our commune.
The relationship between North Pitch and Keighley already existed before the war; the mayor of the
municipality, Gaston Ducornet, an important industrialist, had commercial relations with
Keighley companies manufacturing machinery for the textile industry.

When you are a native of Poix du Nord, this "party hall" is part of your life.
She has seen all the village festivals, association balls, ceremonies
municipal or family... and saw the start of many meetings..
But any foreign visitor is intrigued by the sight of this building built in a style
unusual for our region…and for good reason.!!!
