Visited Alcatraz and Sasulito on the last day of my trip in San Francisco. Alcatraz, "The Rock", is the famous prison on a small island. Sausalito is a small city near Golden Gate Bridge and a popular tourist destination.
My friend peropero (http://www.lomography.com/homes/peropero) put me on to this cheap, colorful film. He recommended that I push it 3 stops for some awesome XPRO-like contrast. So I exposed at ISO 800, but the shop would only push 2 stops. I think the 1 stop relative underexposure is responsible for the intense color. Definitely a great find!

I shot the two layers on consecutive weekends, one taken at the Botanic Gardens, the second layer taken at the Butterfly Pavillion. Several of the butterfly shots are taken with a closeup filter on the lens.

This is one of the two peaks over 14,000 feet in Colorado easily accessed by car (the other is Pike's Peak). It's a great way to escape the heat in the summer, and the view can't be beat!

More from the Harvard campus. We always hear about Harvard and it was good to finally be able to see it for myself. The many churches serve as a vivid reminder of it's roots as a religious institution. I really enjoyed the beautiful stonework of the buildings and the great light we had that day.
