caffenolobscura

After having experimented with digital photography for a number of years, I decided to go “back to basics”. Loading a camera with film and starting to shoot without having to worry about depleted batteries or corrupt memory cards gives you an enormous sense of freedom. And when you come home and develop your film on your kitchen sink, the feeling you get when you see your pictures for the first time is indescribable.
I shoot with cameras of which the age ranges from 35 to 100 years old, and develop all my films in Caffenol, a mixture of instant coffee, washing soda and vitamin C.
