The last few times I shot my Sprocket Rocket, the shots not exposed how I though they should be. So I did some tests in the backyard yesterday to see what the issue is.

I used 400 ISO BW film, developed to the recommended time in D76. It was a bright sunny evening, so these shots should be all pretty heavy on the exposure but everything seems to be about 2 stops off.

Album is still cool, but ORWO surprises. Quality is uneven between rolls. I have some ORWO TC27 left. How outdated might it be??

@herbert-4 - I get pretty consistent results with it, based on how I shot it and what developer I use. It is nearly identical in performance to Kodak TriX and Double X from my perspective, but cheaper. I don't know how old your TC27 would be, could be 3-10 years old. Due to how film ages and IR especially, it's possible it's not good or of questionable "use". But that has never stopped me from using films, I just roll with what it gives me :D

My ORWO TC27 has been in refrigerator since I bought it, about 3 years ago. I have 5 rolls left from the cellophane block. It was very cheap at the Dollar Plus Store, but was kept in the refrigerator with the sodas. I bought last block. I'll see how how the next roll is; I'll shoot it at ISO 200, and see what happens. Thanx.

It sounds like it's been kept properly, so I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work just fine. IR film tends to fog faster then usual films since it is sensitive to light outside of our visible spectrum. But if it's only a few years old it's probably ok. I'd shoot some and see what you get and go from there :D
