A bronze monument to the poet Alexander Pushkin installed in Krasnodar at the building of the homonymous regional library. Pushkin square is one of the favorite meeting places of the youth of the city.

In 1999, the Kuban, as well as all Russia, celebrated the 200th anniversary of the genius of Russian poetry. The culmination of the festival was the unveiling of the Pushkin monument in the eponymous square in the center of the city. Then there were broken flower beds, growing birch trees and along the alley townspeople liked to rest on the benches.

Young lofty dreamer, looking into the distance – it is so imagined Alexander Pushkin, the authors of the monument sculptor Vladimir A. Zhdanov and architect Valery Ivanovich Kirpichev.
