smena_test_feb2019

Looking for another repair project, I spotted a cheeky little Smena Symbol for a tenner. It was in perfect working order (and therefore not what I was actually looking for), but I couldn't resist its sleek, plastic lines and that 70s transistor radio look. No regrets!

    I had a smena symbol when I was kid. It takes ok pics, but wheel rewind is a nightmare %-)) especially on a rainy day

    @aleatorius Heh! My first proper camera was a Minolta Hi-Matic F; a great piece of kit for a kid – perfectly reliable and sensible (these days I'd probably find it way too sensible). The Smena was an impulse buy, it looked too cool to be left gathering dust in a flea market... It's sort of eccentric, but a lot of fun!

    @aleatorius Now that's cheeky! Hope the results are good – or "interesting", at least. (And if you miss your Smena, I just happen to have one available for next to nothing...)
