Bee Spring - May 27, 2018
There is a service at the Bee Spring Church in Bee Spring, Tennessee on the Sunday before Memorial Day. The church replaces one that was destroyed by a disastrous tornado in 1909. Many grave markers at the cemetery across the road were destroyed, also. The town declined after the storm. Today the church is used occasionally for events and the annual service (and is the target of vandals). The spring in front of the church still see regular use for drinking water (and by farmers during dry periods). The cemetery still sees burials, except for the old area with missing grave markers.
