Display Your Photos with Just Your Negatives!
8 16 Share TweetSo you just got your prints and are eager to display them for everyone to see. No frame? No problem. You already have what you need in that envelope you got from the one-hour photo. This is an easy way of saying to your non-lomographic friends, “Yes, unlike your photos that are stuck inside the computer, my photos come from an actual roll of film and are already sitting pretty on my shelf.”
What you need:
- Your photo
- A strip of film negative
- Scissors
- Tape
Grab a strip of that film negative. Cut a slit halfway from bottom up near one end and another slit on the other end but cut this one from top to bottom. Insert the slits into each other to form a loop with two tails. Tape one tail to the back of your photo. Align it on the corner of the picture. And voila! The photo can now stand on its own.
Easy, right? To make it more stable, you can insert a weight inside the loop. It would also be great if the tail of the film negative that goes in front of the photo actually shows the frame of the photo you’re displaying.
