Last year I bought a Kodak Duaflex II on Ebay, it still had a film in it. I decided to develop it and considering it has been in the camera, I guess, for the best part of fifty years, I am quite pleased with the results. I wonder if anyone recognises the locations or indeed the two Ladies.

For those interested in the technicalities the camera has a 75mm Kodet f/15 lens with two shutter speeds: B – Bulb and I – Instant 1/30sec.

The film is a Kodak Verichrome Pan 125ASA 620 roll film. This is an obsolete film, last available in 1995. I developed this film in Tetenal Paranol S for 11min and continuous agitation for the first 30sec, then 5sec every 30 sec.

    Yes, it's quite exciting developing an old, found film. I still have an exposed film that was in an Ilford Sportsman that I bought. Unfortunately it is a Kodak Kodachrome, I would guess it is from the 1960s going by the logo design and the colour of the canister. The information on the canister is in French but there is no ASA detail. I have found some information on how to develop it as a black & white negative, which sounds interesting or the lab I use will do it for £15.00.

    You are right, Kodachrome cannot be developed as a colour positive anymore but it can be developed as a black & white negative. The reason for the high cost is because the process is done by hand, there is also a remjet backing which has to be removed in a borax solution.
