Hi H_K >> This photo was one of the first photos I took when I was starting out in analogue photography. I've never been interesting in photography as either a hobby or an art form before. I saw an article on Lomography and thought - hey! that sounds interesting - and I bought this Pentax Espio 115M and some cheap Fuji Supacolor film. What you see is the result!
This photo was taken at a local canal lock in Leicester on a fairly sunny day in September 2017. The graffiti was (of course) already there, and it looked like a great shot; I've learned a bit more about composition since then and I might have taken it slightly differently now, by trying to get the signboard in the background out of the shot. I knelt down to take this photo so I was at the same height as the writing.
Since then I've now acquired about 50 more cameras - almost all bought off of eBay - I've set myself a top price limit of £15 including postage, so that all my cameras are cheap! I've now got a few buying rules - there must be a case, and the camera must be European, and it must be a current film type (35mm/120/110).
Of the cameras I've bought they have all worked, but a couple have had minor faults - for example - I'm running a roll through an Ilford Sportsman 300 at the moment, but the shutter doesn't always release the film advance interlock.
I have my 35mm films processed by a company in Bournemouth UK called "Snaps"
I hope you find this interesting and useful.
Mike
