Having been interested in photography as a teenager I have spent the last 30 years in the wilderness especially since the digital age . However during the last year or so I have become hooked , initially on collecting vintage cameras . Then one day I thought to myself wouldn't it be fun to try out one or two . I found cheap film at the local poundland store and a local lab to process . I found myself feeling like that teenager again , seeing the world through different eyes . Its taught me to be more observant and appreciative of nature and the beauty that is all around us if we just take the time to look .

I've been using a variety of cameras but particularly enjoy my Olympus pen and my Nikon f , f2 , and surprisingly my Nikon em which is simplicity itself to use and consistently gives great results through its wonderfully sharp e series 50mm 1.8 lens , a very underrated camera in my opinion .

At some point in the future I wish to try my rolleicord and some old brownies that I have . Black and white is my preferred medium and I don't think it will be long before I have a go at home processing

I have a lot to learn but there is no shortage of inspiration to be found on this great site and its always a thrill to receive an encouraging comment .
