Playing with diopters on my TLR

This short and simple shoot was inspired by a conversation with another photographer in regards to TLRs and doing closer up photography.

The shots ended up a little under exposed due to the wierd lighting and my meter being slightly wonky but the intentions were pure.

I used an assortment of vintage diopters with +1, +2 and +3 magnification stacked in assorted mixes on a Bay-1 adapter on the viewing lens to get camera placement and focus, then lifted the camera up enough to get the taking lens in the same spot and moved the adapter and lenses to snap the shot.

The goal was to try and see what I could accomplish while it was fresh on my brain. I liked some of the shots, so I will do more with better light, meter them properly and use a tripod that I can adjust height better to get the taking lens more accurately aimed.

Overall, very pleased minus the exposure and gunk on the film. A few of the Altec shots were lovely especially.
