Weather, Sickness and Work

I am pretty enthusiastic about getting out to shoot. I try to do so every time I can, I carry a bag with cameras and film most everywhere and I just like the escape it brings me to stop and shoot for a bit.

However, lately, that just has not happened how I want.

My job is crazy right now as we are working on migrating to all new computers running new operating systems and with a new server. This task has eaten my soul literally since early in the year and I finally had to hire out for help.

2 weeks back, I got a cold due to the weather changing, pollen in the air, gunk that was going around and some poor decisions on cool nights when driving a loaner car with a convertible top. The chest congestion and lack of energy make doing anything less fun, so I’ve just kind of stayed home and rested when I’m not working or busy with other stuff.

It wasn’t until Sunday that I even got back out and shoot for the first time in what felt like months.

@forceusr and I got out for a bit, shot some flowers and construction equipment and then went home. I think he was tired too, but it was nice to get out and shoot.

When you have the time or feel good, you forget how easy it is to just get out and take photos. But when life gets in the way, you are reminded that sometimes you have to make extra effort to get what you want.

too true, and this is not only for photography but also other things you´d like to do...eventually...or maybe not this week...because of....and in the end, it costs extra strength to lift your back from the sofa....and then: magically you enjoy what you love and it starts over again...:)

@schugger, a month later, I'm still only partially a person. I did finally manage to get out and shoot a little but nothing like my usual. Hoping actually to get together later today with @forceusr to walk and maybe shoot if he's into it. It's gorgeous here, motivating me to get out and do something with a camera. :D

That sounds promising!looking forward for the results! Currently i don't find much time to shoot myself. Days are short now,so there is no chance to have some shoots during the week. And the weekends are somehow busy...well,at least i had some fun with the lomo'instant the last days ;-)
